What an adjustment

So life is crazy. And then you add another child to the mix, and life is chaotic. Everyone always told me that "going from 1 kid to 2 was the biggest adjustment; adding kids after that seems like a piece of cake." Well now I really believe them! Luckily, I have had the help of family and friends. I feel so blessed to have such great people in my life.

Today is my first day "alone" with the two of them. And wouldn't you know- I am still in my pj's and it is 4 in the afternoon! At least I got the two of them dressed today- just not myself. I think that is an accomplishment! Ryan is out of town on business again this week, so we'll be trudging through the week waiting for Friday to roll around when he comes home. Thank heavens he is only a few hours away instead of a few countries away. I should count my blessings.

Nothing terrible to report on my first day as a mother of two on my own. It's just a little different when you have to juggle feedings with trying to keep a 2 year old occupied. There are only so many times she can and will sit down and watch Backyardigans- even though she LOVES them more than she loves anything (except maybe Ryan and I).

I have to post some more pictures so all of you out west who won't see our new little guy for a long time can see just how much he is changing and growing. It's amazing how a newborn changes your entire life. And even more amazing is the love you can have for someone who has only been in your life for a few short weeks! Being a mother is stressful and crazy but something I would never trade.

Jame you are an amazing mom! You'll do great with both kids home alone. Your kids are absolutley beautiful just like you! I'm glad your mom and sis were able to visit. :)

I'm always terrified that for that first day by myself. I get super nervous and don't know how I'll handle it, and then it comes, and you just take it one second/minute/hour at a time.
He is SUPER DUPER cute!
